The second volume in the edition of Eisler’s correspondence

Breitkopf & Härtel has  released the second volume of Eisler’s correspondence in the Hanns Eisler Complete Edition (HEGA). Edited by Maren Köster and Jürgen Schebera, the voume contains letters from the years 1944 to 1951: starting with Eisler’s years as a film composer in Hollywood, via his deportation from the USA and sojourns in Prague and Vienna in 1948/49, to the first years in the GDR, where the topics of discussion cover far more than just the National Anthem …
